Dear friends, fans and detractors,

Thank you to everyone who has been supportive over the past few months. The feedback I've been getting on my work has been great, and there are several exciting things to report:

Joe Ledbetter's "Teeter" (sculpted by me) was recently released by Kidrobot to much praise and admiration. The first edition (orange teeter) sold out online in minutes. Pink and mono have also come out and you can still find pink online and in stores like Urban Outfitters. Joe and I spent December working together around the clock to create some new stuff that fans are sure to love. There's also a super-secret sculpt we've completed - but that's, well, super-secret. Luke Chueh's "Possessed" also remains a mystery and may be out soon.

This weekend, during the Pomona Arts Colony’s 2nd Saturday art walk, OneLeaf fine arts gallery is hosting its monthly gallery show . I’ve been invited to create an installation for the show which is themed "What is a Porn Star?". Curator Jena McRoberts has created a fantastic exhibition space on the edge (both literally and metaphorically) of the Los Angeles metro region. Stop by and check out this funky little area which includes the Glasshouse concert venue as well as tons of great antique stores filled with vintage goodies.

I have two pieces in “Keep Scrapping”, a group show at Maude Carrin boutique (7427 Beverly Blvd, LA) curated by my good friend Thomas Han. The show includes original work by Thomas, Joe Ledbetter, Luke Chueh, Audrey Kawasaki and many others. Owners Jay and Kristi throw a hell of an opening night party! There’s also a ton of super cool fashion on sale, so head over and drop some cash on these nice folks.

Finally, I’m pleased to be a part of the next “Create:Fixate” group show:

SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2007 : 7pm - 2am
Gallery Preview : 4-7pm
1535 Ivar Ave., Hollywood, CA
$15 Admission : Gallery Preview $5 suggested donation

Create:Fixate is a legendary Los Angeles underground art show that has been curated for years by the wonderful Michelle Berc. This is a one night event/party/concert that includes dozens of artists from every discipline. In addition, Michelle has assembled a fine group of sponsors who will be providing support and party favors for everyone. The title for this event is “Down to Earth” featuring work that is environmentally themed. More appropriate now than ever with the consensus of the scientific community being blatantly censored by major governments around the world. The consequences of not speaking out on this important issue could be quite severe. Check out the site and plan on attending!!

That’s all for now, see you at the shows,

D
